How long does it take to process my order?

We process and ship orders from Monday to Friday.

We usually process orders within 1 to 2 business days.

However, due to peak seasons, holidays or health and safety restrictions, we can sometimes see delays in which case announcements are made.

How long does it take for my order to ship?

It takes up to 72 business hours for orders to be shipped out.

Do you offer free shipping?

We do not offer free shipping on orders made on Candle Making Supplies.

On our Consumer Product Store General Wax, we do offer free ground shipping on orders with a total of $49 and more, before tax and after any promotion. Only valid with qualifying items. Some restrictions might apply.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do ship internationally through Etsy, Faire and our new website based in Hawaii only (selected items).

What measures do you take to prevent the spread of Covid-19?

We take the health and safety of our employees and customers very seriously. Therefore, even though we are open for business, we do not allow customers inside our facilities.

We ask all employees and customers to wear a face-covering at all time.

We also ask all employees and customers to respect 6-feet social distancing.

We also ask employees to regularly wash their hands and provide gloves and hand sanitizing stations.

Our facilities are regularly cleaned with bleach and alcohol. All surfaces are swiped with disinfecting solutions multiple times a day.

We also ask all employees and customers to not come to any of our facilities or in contact with others when they are sick.

Is your store currently open?

We are now open for in-person shopping! However, due to COVID-related health and safety restrictions, we do offer and encourage online shopping on our website.

When shopping at our store, we ask our customers and employees to continue wearing a mask, regardless of vaccination status. We also ask customers and employees to respect social distancing, particularly in crowded areas such as the checkout counters.

We follow both local and federal guidelines and may often update these guidelines as the situation evolves.

Can I return or exchange merchandise?

If you are not satisfied with your order, you can return merchandise within 30 days from the date of your purchase, either via mail or in-person.

For Returns via Mail, you must provide:

  • New, unused merchandise with original product packaging, labels and accessories as originally provided at the time of purchase.
  • Original invoice
  • A Return Authorization Number provided by our customer service team

Please use our Return Center here to initiate the return. Fill out the return form entirely. Our customer service agents will give you a return authorization number.

Once you received your authorization number, print the return shipping label and affix it to the product for return.

Note: You are responsible for the return shipping costs and we must receive the product in good order as outlined above. We will not accept damaged product for return.

For Returns in Person, you must provide:

  • New, unused merchandise with original product packaging, labels and accessories as originally provided at the time of purchase.
  • Original invoice

You can come to our store location during our Curbside Pickup Hours. Once there, notify our store customer service team who will process your return.

Which wicks can I use with my wax?

Wicks are divided into categories:

Cotton Core: compatible with Paraffin Wax

HTPs: compatible with Soy and Soy/Coconut Blends

1/0 Square: compatible with Beeswax

We always recommend running a test burn for all your projects.

What is the best pouring temperature for my wax?

It varies on your wax type and fragrance. Always refer to the manufacturer's recommendation.

What is the fragrance flashpoint?

The flashpoint is the temperature at which point the fragrance oil becomes combustible if exposed to a spark or flame.

How many percent of fragrance should I use?

It varies on how much fragrance the wax you use can safely hold. As a general rule, it can vary between 6% to 10%, but never above 12%. We always advise you to follow the manufacturer's recommendations and to run your own burn tests.

When should I add fragrance to the wax?

As a general rule, and regardless of the kind of wax you use, it is recommended to:

  • Fragrance Flashpoint Under 130ºF = Add it to wax at 130ºF
  • Fragrance Flashpoint Between 130ºF to 180ºF = Add it to wax at the fragrance flashpoint
  • Fragrance Flashpoint Above 180ºF = Add it to wax at 180ºF

Make sure to remove the wax from the heating surface before adding the fragrance, as it can degrade if boiling.

What are additives and do I need them?

Additives in candle making help you achieve certain effects and finishes such as mottling, changing the opacity or fixing colors. Depending on the kind of wax you use and the kind of candle you are making, these different additives bring different solutions to help you reach the desired effect.
