Blue Liquid Candle Dye

Liquid candle dye is convenient for both small test batches and larger candle-making projects because it is easy to measure, mix, and reproduce. Use it to color container candles, pillar candles, votives, tealights, wax melts, and other wax-based creations.

The finished shade will depend on the type of wax, the amount of dye used, fragrance oil, additives, and the natural color of the wax. As shown in the product image, blue liquid dye produces a richer, more saturated shade in paraffin wax and a softer, more muted blue in soy 

Its liquid format makes it easy to add color gradually, blend custom shades, and record consistent formulas for future candle batches.

Begin with a small amount and add more dye as needed. Melted wax usually looks darker than cooled wax, so always evaluate a fully cooled sample before pouring the full batch.

Avoid adding excessive dye, as too much colorant can affect wick performance, fragrance, and the way the candle burns.

Always evaluate the color after the wax has cooled. Melted wax typically appears darker than the finished candle.

Creating custom colors

Blue Liquid Candle Dye can be blended with other compatible liquid candle dyes to create custom colors:

• Blue + yellow: Green or teal shades
• Blue + red or magenta: Purple or violet shades
• Blue + a small amount of black: Navy or midnight blue
• Blue + a small amount of brown: Muted or smoky blue
• A small amount of blue in white wax: Pale or powder blue

Add the second color gradually and record every measurement so the formula can be reproduced.
