    Add vibrant color to your handmade candles with Magenta Liquid Candle Dye. This concentrated candle colorant can produce shades ranging from soft pink and rosy magenta to a rich, saturated berry tone, depending on the type of wax and amount of dye used.

    As shown in the product image, magenta liquid dye produces a deeper, brighter shade in paraffin wax and a softer, more muted pink-magenta shade in soy 

    Liquid candle dye is convenient for both small test batches and larger candle-making projects because it is easy to measure, mix, and reproduce. Use it to color container candles, pillar candles, votives, tealights, wax melts, and other wax-based creations. Its liquid format makes it easy to add color gradually, blend custom shades and record repeatable formulas for future batches.

    The finished shade will depend on the type of wax, the amount of dye used, fragrance oil, additives, and the natural color of the wax. 

    Begin with a small amount and add more dye as needed. Melted wax usually looks darker than cooled wax, so always evaluate a fully cooled sample before pouring the full batch.

    Avoid adding excessive dye, as too much colorant can affect wick performance, fragrance, and the way the candle burns.

    Creating custom colors

    Magenta Liquid Candle Dye can be blended with other compatible liquid candle dyes to create custom shades:

    • Magenta + blue: Purple, violet or plum
    • Magenta + yellow: Coral, peach or warm red
    • Magenta + red: Raspberry, berry or deep pink
    • Magenta + a small amount of black: Burgundy or wine
    • Small amount of magenta in white wax: Blush or pastel pink

    Add the second color gradually and record every measurement so the formula can be reproduced.

    Adding color and testing

    Begin with a small amount of dye and increase it gradually. It is much easier to darken candle wax than to correct wax that has become too dark.

    For accurate testing, make a complete candle using the intended wax, fragrance, dye, vessel or mold, and wick. After curing, conduct a full burn test before producing or selling a larger batch.

    5. Place a small drop of colored wax onto a white paper towel, paper plate, or other heat-safe white surface.

    7. Add more dye gradually if a darker or more saturated magenta is desired.
    8. Record the amount used so the color can be reproduced in future batches.
    9. Pour the candle according to the wax manufacturer’s recommended temperature.
    10. Allow the candle to cure, then conduct a complete burn test.
